NewJeans's Remarkable Win: Celebrating a Year of Success
At the 2023 MAMA Awards held at Tokyo Dome, NewJeans etched their name in history by winning the ‘Samsung Galaxy Song of the Year’ Daesang for ‘Ditto.’ Competing with hits like (G)I-DLE’s ‘Queencard,’ IVE’s ‘I AM,’ Jisoo’s ‘Flower,’ and Jungkook’s ‘Seven,’ NewJeans’s ‘Ditto’ stood out as a chart-topper.
Celebrating remotely, NewJeans’s ‘Ditto’ gained over 400 million streams and ascended to the Billboard 200’s top spot, a remarkable feat within their debut year. Additionally, the group won three prestigious awards, including ‘Best Female Group’ and ‘Best Dance Performance Female Group.’
The MAMA Awards ‘Chapter 2’ continued with categories like ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year,’ featuring stellar performances by ATEEZ, BOYNEXTDOOR, (G)I-DLE, and others.
