BTS’s RM Becomes 1st Korean Soloist Ever To Spend 6 Weeks On Billboard’s Artist 100

BTS’s RM continues to set new records with his solo album “Indigo“!

Last month, RM made Billboard history as the first Korean soloist ever to enter the top 3 of the Billboard 200 (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States) when “Indigo” re-entered the chart at No. 3.

To add to that achievement, RM has now become the first Korean male soloist in history to have an album spend five weeks on the Billboard 200 (and only the second Korean soloist overall, following TWICE‘s Nayeon).

For the week ending on January 21, “Indigo” stayed strong at No. 125 on the Billboard 200, marking its fifth non-consecutive week on the chart.

Additionally, RM is now the first K-pop soloist in history to spend six weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he ranked No. 75 this week.

Outside of the Billboard 200, “Indigo” also held steady on several other Billboard charts this week: the album swept the No. 4 spot on both the Top Current Album Sales chart and the World Albums chart, in addition to ranking No. 6 on the Top Album Sales chart.
