Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming.

On October 6, Circle Chart announced the seven albums that have newly received album sales certifications! Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.

Receiving million certifications were TXT’s summer 2021 album “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE,” as well as newly released albums “BETWEEN 1&2” by TWICE and “After LIKE” by IVE.

“BE AWARE” by THE BOYZ, “FOREVER 1” by Girls’ Generation,” and NewJeans’ self-titled debut EP “New Jeans” have now all gone platinum with over 250,000 sales each. Additionally, IVE’s “LOVE DIVE” is now certified triple platinum.

In the streaming category, songs are certified platinum once they surpass 100 million streams. This month, the two songs earning this platinum streaming certification were “Love Always Runs Away” by Lim Young Woong from the “Young Lady and Gentleman” OST and “Permission to Dance” by BTS.
