TWICE Becomes 1st K-Pop Girl Group To Land 2 Albums In Top 3 Of Billboard 200 As “BETWEEN 1&2” Makes Chart Debut

TWICE has just made history on the Billboard 200!

On September 4 local time, Billboard announced that TWICE’s latest mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” had debuted at No. 3 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart, its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.

TWICE is now the first K-pop girl group in history to chart three albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200—at present, no other female K-pop artist has more than one top 10 album to their name.

TWICE has also become the first female K-pop artist to land two albums in the top 3 of the Billboard 200 (their first was “Formula of Love: O+T=<3,” which debuted at No. 3 last year).

Additionally, TWICE has extended their own record as the female K-pop artist with the most chart entries on the Billboard 200. “BETWEEN 1&2” is the group’s fifth entry on the Billboard 200 overall, following “MORE & MORE,” “Eyes wide open,” “Taste of Love,” and “Formula of Love: O+T=<3.” (At present, no other female K-pop artist has more than three entries.)

According to Luminate (formerly MRC Data), “BETWEEN 1&2” earned a total of 100,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on September 1, marking TWICE’s biggest U.S. week to date. The album’s total score consisted of 94,000 traditional album sales (another career best for the group) and 6,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 9.18 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
