K-Pop Artists Claim 42 Spots On Oricon’s 2022 Year-End Album And Single Charts

Oricon has unveiled its year-end rankings for 2022!

Every year, Oricon—Japan’s largest music statistics site—wraps up the year by publishing its annual rankings of the best-selling albums and singles in Japan.

K-pop artists claimed 33 of the 100 spots in the 2022 album rankings, with SEVENTEEN sweeping 3 out of the top 11. The group took No. 3 with their latest Japanese EP “DREAM,” No. 7 with their Korean album “Face the Sun,” and No. 11 with “SECTOR 17” (the repackaged version of “Face the Sun”). SEVENTEEN’s 2021 Korean mini album “Attacca” also made the chart at No. 59, despite having been released last year.

Aside from SEVENTEEN, BTS, ENHYPEN, TXT, Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, TWICE, NCT, TREASURE, ATEEZ, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, Kep1er, TVXQ, THE BOYZ, ITZY, and TVXQ’s Yunho all landed spots on the year-end album chart for 2022.
