TXT's "The Name Chapter: FREEFALL" Dominates Billboard Charts

TXT’s new album, “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL”, is making waves in the music industry, especially on the renowned Billboard charts.

On October 22, Billboard highlighted TXT’s ascent by announcing the album’s debut at No. 3 on its esteemed Top 200 Albums chart. This chart represents the pinnacle of musical achievement in the U.S., and TXT’s entry signifies their growing influence in the western music world.

Achieving this milestone, TXT proudly stands as the second K-pop group ever to have four distinct albums grace the top five spots of the Billboard 200, a record previously held only by BTS. This isn’t their first time making headlines: they have had nine different albums feature on the Billboard 200.

Further acclaim comes from the album’s impressive No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. This spotlights “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” as the best-selling album for the week in the U.S.

Data from Luminate reveals that the album garnered a total of 114,500 equivalent album units by the week ending October 19. Breaking down the numbers, the album achieved 106,000 in traditional album sales, 8,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, equivalent to 11.53 million on-demand audio streams during the week, and an additional 500 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its inaugural week.

TXT’s trajectory on the Billboard 200 charts has been consistently upward, with their previous albums “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE”, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child”, and “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” also earning top positions.
