TXT Matches BTS’s Billboard 200 Achievement with Japanese Albums
TXT's "SWEET" Marks Their Third Japanese Album Entry on the U.S. Chart
TXT continues to make waves in the international music scene, marking another milestone on the Billboard 200 chart.
Currently, TXT and BTS stand as the sole Korean acts to have Japanese albums featured on the Billboard 200, a chart that showcases the most sought-after albums in the U.S. This achievement is further amplified as TXT’s latest Japanese album, “SWEET”, made its debut at No. 54 on the chart as of August 15.
With this, TXT has successfully charted three of their Japanese albums on the Billboard 200, equating BTS’s record in this category. Before “SWEET”, TXT had made their presence felt with their inaugural Japanese studio album “Still Dreaming” and their debut Japanese EP “Chaotic Wonderland.”
Furthermore, “SWEET” isn’t just TXT’s third Japanese album to make it to the Billboard 200; it’s their eighth album in total to grace the chart. This accomplishment positions them as the second K-pop act ever to have eight distinct albums on the chart, with BTS being the first.
Beyond the Billboard 200, “SWEET” has also made impressive strides on other charts. It secured the No. 3 spot on the World Albums chart and debuted at No. 7 on both the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts.
