S.Coups Pauses Seventeen Activities Due to Knee Recovery
Seventeen's Leader Prioritizes Health Over Album Promotions
Seventeen‘s leader, S.Coups, is momentarily stepping back from the group’s comeback as he recuperates from a knee injury.
Pledis Entertainment, on October 19, made it known that S.Coups is in the midst of recovery following a knee injury sustained in August. This health concern will see him absent from most of the promotional endeavors for Seventeen’s 11th mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’. Pledis announced, “S.Coups suffered a tear in his left anterior cruciate ligament and underwent anterior cruciate ligament and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery. He’s currently receiving post-surgery care, and he’s concentrating on recovery.”
The label further elaborated, “It’s now been 2 months post-surgery, and although he’s on the path to recovery, the injured area remains delicate. Rehabilitation treatment is of paramount importance now, and he’s been medically advised to steer clear of any strenuous activities for the foreseeable future.”
S.Coups, wanting to keep the fans in the loop, shared on WeVerse, “I had the desire to engage in as many activities as possible, but I’ve decided to take a break to dedicate time to rehabilitation. By doing this, I ensure our paths cross for a longer time. I know you’re not fond of apologies, so instead of expressing regret, I’ll channel that energy to recover swiftly and present a healthier version of myself at the earliest opportunity.”
