Park Bo Gum's Musical Debut: A Star Turn in 'Let Me Fly'

 

Actor Park Bo Gum takes his first step into the world of musicals with ‘Let Me Fly’, a critically acclaimed production. Discover the journey of this star-studded cast.

Park Bo Gum is set to make his mark in the world of musical theatre!

On July 10, it was announced that Park Bo Gum will be taking on a leading role in the musical “Let Me Fly”. This production has been recognized for its excellence, having been nominated for six awards at the 7th Korea Musical Awards in 2022. It took home three awards, including Best Musical, Best Composition (Min Chan Hong), and Best New Actor (Lee Hyung Hoon).

“Let Me Fly” narrates the intriguing tale of Nam Won, who transforms into a 70-year-old grandfather overnight due to the effects of radio frequency in 1969. The plot weaves between the past and future as Nam Won, still immature, strives to return to his past. The story also features Sun Hee, a grandmother who attempts to assist him, and Jung Boon, Nam Won’s only love.

Park Bo Gum will be portraying the young Nam Won, sharing the role with Ahn Ji Hwan and Shin Jae Beom. The character of the older Nam Won will be brought to life by Kim Tae Hwan, Kim Do Bin, and Lee Hyung Hoon. Sun Hee will be enacted by Bang Jin Ui, Yoon Gong Joo, and Choi Soo Jin, while Jung Boon will be depicted by Na Ha Na, Hong Ji Hee, and Im Ye Jin.

“Let Me Fly” is slated for a total of 100 performances from September 26 to December 10 at the YES24 Stage in Seoul. Following this, the cast will embark on a tour to meet audiences in Busan, Anyang, and other locations. This musical journey promises to be a memorable experience for all.
