Jennie from BLACKPINK Enters Top 40 of UK’s Official Singles with “You & Me”

Solo Debut Marks Significant Achievement for Female K-Pop Artists

Jennie from BLACKPINK Enters Top 40 of UK's Official Singles with "You & Me"

Jennie of BLACKPINK has marked her entry as a solo artist on the coveted United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart. On the evening of October 13, the renowned Official Charts (seen as the U.K.’s counterpart to the Billboard’s U.S. charts) declared that Jennie’s latest single “You & Me” has secured the 39th spot on its Official Singles Chart. This is a remarkable achievement, as it’s Jennie’s premiere appearance as an individual artist on this chart.

Worth noting, “You & Me” now holds the title as the second-ever track by a K-pop female solo artist to claim a position within the top 40 of the Official Singles Chart. Earlier, this record was solely held by Jisoo, Jennie’s fellow BLACKPINK member, when her solo track “FLOWER” clinched the 38th spot in April.

Furthermore, “You & Me” has not only secured a position on the chart but also dominated by standing at No. 1 on the Official Singles Sales chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart for the week. This accolade positions Jennie as the pioneer female K-pop solo artist to reign over either of these charts.
