FIFTY FIFTY, the K-pop sensation, continues to rewrite history on international music charts with their viral hit, “Cupid. After setting the record as the fastest K-pop group to debut on Billboard’s Hot 100, a weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States, FIFTY FIFTY has now become the first K-pop girl group ever to chart a song for 15 consecutive weeks.
For the week ending on July 8, “Cupid” maintained its position at No. 24 on the Hot 100, thereby extending its record as the longest-charting song by a female K-pop artist. The song also reached a new peak on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. The enduring hit climbed to No. 13 this week, setting a new record for the highest ranking ever achieved by a K-pop girl group song.
In addition to its success on the American charts, “Cupid” has also made history on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart. It is now the first K-pop girl group song to spend 15 weeks on this chart, where it remained strong at No. 58 this week.
