BTS’s RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook Prepare for Mid-December Military Enlistment
A New Chapter for BTS: RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook's Enlistment Journey
In a significant move for the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are scheduled to join the military in mid-December. This decision, announced on November 29 KST, aligns with the group’s commitment to fulfilling their mandatory military service duties.
The enlistment process will see RM and V entering a training center on December 11 KST. Jimin and Jungkook are set to follow suit, joining the same recruit training center the next day, December 12. Their journey as active-duty soldiers will last for a period of 18 months.
Big Hit Music, the managing label behind BTS, has expressed gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support. The label reassured fans, stating, “We ask for your warm support and unwavering love until the day RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook complete their military service and return in good health. We will not spare our continued support and affection for our artists.”
Meanwhile, other BTS members, Jin, j-hope, and SUGA, are currently progressing through their military services. Jin, the eldest in the group, began his service in December 2021. J-hope joined the ranks in April, while SUGA has been serving as a social worker since last September. Fans eagerly anticipate Jin’s discharge, expected in June of the coming year.
