BTS Achieves Highest 1st-Week Sales Of 2022 With “Proof”

BTS’s new anthology album is off to an impressive start!

Last week, BTS made their long-awaited comeback with their anthology album “Proof” and its brand-new title track “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).”

Hanteo Chart has now reported that “Proof” sold a staggering total of 2,752,496 copies in the first week of its release (June 10 to 16)—marking the highest first-week sales of any album released in 2022.

“Proof” also achieved the second-highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history, bested only by BTS’s own 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” (which sold 3,378,633 copies in its first week).

The feat is all the more impressive considering that “Proof” is a 3-CD anthology album, meaning the standard edition comes with a significantly higher price tag than “Map of the Soul: 7.”

With this latest achievement, BTS now has the top four albums with the highest first-week sales in Hanteo history: “Map of the Soul: 7,” “Proof,” “BE” (2,274,882 copies), and “Map of the Soul: Persona” (2,130,480).
