BTS’s RM Becomes 1st Korean Soloist To Enter Top 3 Of Billboard 200 As “Indigo” Re-Enters Chart

BTS’s RM has made history on the Billboard 200!

On December 26 local time, Billboard announced that RM’s new solo album “Indigo” had re-entered its Top 200 Albums chart (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States) following its physical release in the United States.

For the week ending on December 31, “Indigo” re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 3, marking its second non-consecutive week on the chart (and making it RM’s first solo album ever to enter the top 10).

RM is now the first Korean solo artist in history to enter the top 3 of the chart, with “Indigo” overtaking TWICE‘s Nayeon‘s solo debut mini album “IM NAYEON” (which peaked at No. 7) to become the highest-charting Korean solo album to date on the Billboard 200.

According to Luminate (formerly MRC Data), “Indigo” earned a total of 83,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on December 22. The album’s total score consisted of 79,000 traditional album sales and 4,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 5.3 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
