NCT DREAM Breaks Their 1st-Week Sales Record With Winter Album “Candy”
NCT DREAM is soaring to new heights with their latest release!
Last week, NCT DREAM dropped their winter special mini album “Candy,” featuring the catchy title track of the same name. Less than three days later, the mini album had already sold over a million copies, breaking NCT DREAM’s own record for the fastest SM Entertainment album to hit 1 million sales—and making NCT DREAM the only artist to release three million-seller albums in 2022.
Hanteo Chart has now reported that despite “Candy” being a winter special album, NCT DREAM still managed to achieve their highest first-week sales yet with the release.
According to Hanteo Chart, “Candy” sold an impressive total of 1,591,021 copies in the first week of its release (December 19 to 25)—breaking NCT DREAM’s previous first-week sales record of 1,405,199 set by their studio album “Glitch Mode” earlier this year.
NCT DREAM is now the artist with the fourth-highest first-week sales in Hanteo history, following BTS, Stray Kids, and SEVENTEEN.
“Candy” has also achieved the eighth-highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history, following the BTS albums “Map of the Soul: 7,” “Proof,” and “BE“; Stray Kids’ “MAXIDENT“; BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona“; SEVENTEEN’s “Face the Sun“; and BTS’s “Butter.”
