IU Teases Comeback with New Album Featuring BTS’ V

Acclaimed singer and actress IU is gearing up for her highly anticipated return to the music scene with a new album, her first in around two and a half years. Adding to the excitement, the album is set to feature a collaboration with V, a member of the globally renowned group BTS.

IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed on the 5th that the filming for a music video of a song featuring V has recently been completed. This upcoming album, inclusive of the collaboration track, is currently in the final stages of production and is expected to be released in the first half of the next year. IU’s fans have been eagerly awaiting new music since her last EP ‘Pieces,’ released in December 2021.

While the precise release date of IU’s new album is yet to be announced, it is noted that the early scheduling of the music video shoot was strategically planned to fit into V’s timeline, as he is due to start his military service on December 11 KST.

IU and V’s collaboration has been a topic of excitement for fans, who fondly remember their dynamic chemistry from IU’s web talk series, ‘IU’s Palette.’ This collaboration marks IU’s second venture with a BTS member, following her successful collaboration with SUGA on tracks like “Eight” and SUGA’s “People Part 2.”
