BTS’s RM Tops 6 Billboard Charts + Debuts On Hot 100 With “Wild Flower” And “Indigo”
BTS’s RM has made his solo debut on Billboard’s Hot 100!
In addition to earning his highest solo entry to date on the Billboard 200, RM has entered numerous other Billboard charts this week with his new solo album “Indigo.”
For the week ending on December 17, RM’s title track “Wild Flower” (featuring Cho Youjeen) debuted at No. 83 on the Hot 100, Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States.
“Indigo” marks RM’s first time entering the Hot 100 as a soloist, and it makes him the sixth member of BTS to achieve the feat (following J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook, and Jin).
“Wild Flower” also debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and World Digital Song Sales chart this week, in addition to entering the Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 20 and the Global 200 at No. 35.
Notably, RM swept all of the top 8 spots on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart with tracks from “Indigo”: “Wild Flower” debuted at No. 1, “Still Life” at No. 2, “Yun” at No. 3, “Lonely” at No. 4, “All Day” at No. 5, “Hectic” at No. 6, “No.2” at No. 7, and “Forg_tful” at No. 8. Additionally, his 2021 solo song “Bicycle” made the chart at No. 13.
“Still Life,” RM’s collaboration with Anderson .Paak, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Song Sales chart, while “Yun” (with Erykah Badu) and “All Day” (with Epik High’s Tablo) entered the chart at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. “Still Life” also debuted at No. 165 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 187 on the Global 200.
Meanwhile, “Closer” (with Paul Blanco and Mahalia) debuted at No. 1 on both the R&B Digital Song Sales chart and the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart this week.
As an album, “Indigo” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 7 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Finally, RM re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 8, marking his second overall week on the chart as a solo artist.
