BTS's Jungkook Sets New Records on Billboard Hot 100 and Global Charts
BTS‘s Jungkook has etched his name in Billboard history with his solo anthem “Standing Next to You,” propelling him to new heights on multiple charts. In the week concluding November 18, the track from his solo album “GOLDEN” made an impressive debut at the summit of the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. This achievement crowns Jungkook as the first Korean solo artist to clinch the top spot with three distinct songs on these charts, following his previous hits “Seven” and “3D.”
Elevating his status further, “Standing Next to You” launched into the No. 5 position on the Billboard Hot 100, securing Jungkook his sixth solo entry and third top 10 solo song in the United States. This latest accomplishment surpasses PSY’s records, earning Jungkook the titles of the Korean solo artist with the most entries and the most top 10 hits on the Hot 100.
In addition to his Hot 100 success, “Standing Next to You” also conquered the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, leading with 84,000 downloads in the first week, and placed at No. 25 on the Streaming Songs chart.
Jungkook’s landmark week continues with a surge to No. 2 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking his 13th week of influence on the chart. His enduring presence on the Artist 100 and his record-breaking chart performance with “Standing Next to You” further solidify his standing as a formidable solo force in the global music scene.
