Jungkook's 'Seven' Surpasses BTS's Billboard Global 200 Record

Billboard’s Global 200 has witnessed a new champion in BTS‘s Jungkook with his captivating single, “Seven.”

Earlier in July, Jungkook etched his name in the annals of music history by becoming the inaugural Korean solo artist to debut a track at the pinnacle of Billboard’s Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. charts. His solo masterpiece, “Seven” (featuring Latto), achieved this remarkable feat.

Yet, the accolades for “Seven” don’t stop there. As of the week concluding on August 26, the track maintained its dominant position at the zenith of both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for an unbroken five-week stretch. This accomplishment crowns Jungkook as the pioneering Korean solo artist to lead either of these charts for such a duration.

Surpassing BTS’s 2020 sensation “Dynamite,” which held the No. 1 spot for four weeks, “Seven” now stands as the premier song by a Korean performer to reign the Global 200 for five weeks.

Further highlighting its success, “Seven” retained its position within the elite top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100 for its fifth week, landing at No. 30. This marks another milestone, with “Seven” being the debut song by a Korean solo artist to consistently remain in the top 30 for its initial five weeks.

On other fronts, “Seven” persisted at its zenith of No. 19 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, reflecting its popularity on mainstream Top 40 radio stations throughout the U.S. Concurrently, it secured the No. 33 spot in its fifth week on the Streaming Songs chart.
