NewJeans has taken the Korean music charts by storm with their latest sensation, “Super Shy,” achieving a remarkable feat.
On the morning of July 16, Instiz’s iChart officially announced that NewJeans’ pre-release single, “Super Shy,” had accomplished a perfect all-kill, marking their second song to achieve this milestone.
A song receives a certified all-kill distinction when it claims the No. 1 position on Melon’s daily and Top 100 charts, Genie and Bugs’ daily and realtime charts, YouTube Music’s Top Songs chart, VIBE’s daily chart, and FLO and iChart’s realtime charts. A perfect all-kill goes beyond these achievements and also tops iChart’s weekly chart.
“Super Shy” becomes the fourth song released in 2023 to attain a perfect all-kill, following the success of IVE’s “Kitsch,” IVE’s “I AM,” and (G)I-DLE‘s “Queencard.”
NewJeans had previously attained their first perfect all-kill in their career last year with the chart-topping hit “Ditto.” The song went on to set a new record for the most cumulative hours spent at perfect all-kill status, totaling an impressive 655 hours.
