Just hours after becoming the first K-pop artist to surpass 400 million views with a 2022 music video (“Pink Venom”), BLACKPINK has already reached another milestone with a different music video!
On October 26 at around 12:30 a.m. KST, BLACKPINK’s music video for their latest title track “Shut Down” soared past 200 million views, making it their 12th full-group music video to achieve the feat following “BOOMBAYAH,” “As If It’s Your Last,” “Playing with Fire,” “Whistle,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “STAY,” “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream,” “Lovesick Girls,” and “Pink Venom.”
With the exception of “Ready For Love“—BLACKPINK’s special collab music video with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, which stars the four members’ 3D avatars—every single one of BLACKPINK’s group music videos has now surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.
BLACKPINK originally released the music video for “Shut Down” on September 16 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took just over 39 days and 11 hours to hit the 200 million mark.
