It took just one day for Stray Kids to smash their own sales records with their latest album!
On October 7 at 1 p.m. KST, Stray Kids made their highly-anticipated comeback with their new mini album “MAXIDENT” and its title track “CASE 143.”
According to Hanteo Chart, “MAXIDENT” had already surpassed 1 million album sales by 6 p.m. KST that evening—meaning that it took the mini album less than a day to reach the milestone. In comparison, it took Stray Kids’ previous mini album “ODDINARY” over a month to reach 1 million sales.
By the end of the day, “MAXIDENT” had already overtaken “ODDINARY” to become Stray Kids’ best-selling album of all time. The mini album sold an impressive total of 1,308,971 copies on the first day of its release—more than any other Stray Kids album has sold to date (according to Hanteo Chart data).
At present, Stray Kids is one of only four artists in Hanteo history who have managed to surpass 1 million sales on the first day of an album’s release, following BTS, SEVENTEEN, and BLACKPINK.
