NCT DREAM has topped Melon’s realtime chart with their latest release!
On December 16 at 6 p.m. KST, NCT DREAM digitally released their winter special mini album “Candy,” along with their title track of the same name, three days ahead of its official physical release.
The following night, “Candy” soared to No. 1 on the Top 100 chart of Melon, Korea’s largest music streaming site—making it only the third boy group song to top the chart this year. (The only other boy group songs to have reached No. 1 in 2022 are BIGBANG’s “Still Life” and BTS‘s “Yet to Come.”)
As of 10 a.m. KST on December 18, “Candy” was still going strong at No. 1 on not only Melon’s Top 100, but also Bugs’ and Vibe’s realtime charts, both of which it has topped for the past three days.
Additionally, “Candy” reached No. 9 on Melon’s 24Hits chart (which is calculated based on streams and unique listeners from the past 24 hours), making NCT DREAM only the third boy group in history—following BTS and BIGBANG—to enter the top 10.
“Candy” also topped numerous iTunes charts in various countries all over the world immediately after its digital release on Friday.
