In a record-setting stride, BTS‘s very own Jungkook has stormed into Spotify’s illustrious Billions Club, marking a distinctive achievement in his already illustrious career. On October 30, the celebrated artist’s solo track, “Seven”, featuring Latto, was officially crowned the fastest song to amass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
As per the official statistics from Spotify, it took “Seven” a mere 108 days to touch this impressive milestone, effortlessly dethroning the prior record of 112 days held by Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers”.
Rewinding to its debut in July, “Seven” had already etched its name in Spotify’s annals, becoming the inaugural track by a K-pop solo artist to secure the No. 1 position on the Global Top Songs chart. Moreover, it was the first song by any male artist, regardless of nationality, to achieve over 15 million streams on its debut day on the music streaming giant.
In the midst of this wave of success, Jungkook’s anticipation is palpable as he prepares for the launch of his solo album, “GOLDEN”. The album, slated for a November 3 release, will be adorned with tracks like “Seven” and “3D”, the latter featuring Jack Harlow.
