Remember when Bowen Yang invented shoes? GLAAD does too.
Ahead of Spirit Day on October 21, the LGBTQ nonprofit is auctioning off the sky-high, silver platform shoes Yang sported on the red carpet at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards in September. (Yes, the actual pair of heels Yang wore. Don’t make it weird.)
The auction is live right now on Ebay and will remain open until October 16. All proceeds from the sale will benefit GLAAD’s advocacy work.
The Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live star’s red carpet look was a favorite among queer and allied fans, with folks all over the web complimenting Yang’s choice of shoe. On Instagram, the out comedian shouted out his stylist, Ian Bradley (and his SNL costar Kenan, who was also nominated for Emmys in two categories at this year’s show).

The heels in question are the Rancho platform shoes in silver by Syro, a queer-owned femme footwear brand. They retail for $230 and are currently available for preorder on Syro’s website with shipping estimates of spring 2022.
Hey, the starting bid on Yang’s shoes is just $99. Why not try your luck and support a good cause?
